Herbs perennial, with no stems, stolons, 3-15 cm high. The rhizomes are thick, vertical or inclined, pale brown, dense nodules, go down most of fine root, lateral a slender stolons, the root and leaf nodes and into a new plant. Leaves basal; leaf blade orbicular or reniform or broadly ovate cordate, flowering leaf length and width were small, 1.5-2.5 cm, leaf increased gradually after flowering, the length and width of up to 4.5 cm, apex rounded or slightly pointed, base deeply cordate, margin with obtuse teeth on both sides, sparsely pubescent or subglabrous. Flowers large, deep purple, fragrant is fine; pedicels slender, pilose or subglabrous, middle or above 2 linear bracteoles; sepals oblong or oblong ovate, apex obtuse, basal appendages 0.2-0.3 cm long, blunt ending or shallow teeth; petals above petals obovate, like Bian Yuanbo. Lateral petals near base have short hair, even from below the petals broadly obovate, 1.5-2 cm long; long distance 2-4 mm, straight or slightly curved; below 2 stamens from thick, ca. 4 mm; ovary by fine fluff, style base fine and straight, upward thickening and slightly flat at the top, hooked short beak, beak length and diameter of nearly equal style, beak end has a stigma hole thin. Capsule globose, densely pubescent.
